SPECIAL ABILITIES
Absorb Souls (Ex) A soul golem absorbs the souls of monsters it slays immediately upon their death trapping them as if trapped by a Soul Bind spell, the golem then counts as the recepticle in which the soul is trapped and recovers hp equal to the monsters hit dice. The monster cannot be resurrected until the golem is slain.
Immunity to Magic (Ex) A soul golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and effects function differently against the creature, as noted below.
• A magical attack that deals positive energy damage acts as normal.
A soul golem is a combination of fallen souls trapped in crystalline objects and then melded together by necromantic means.
Construction[]
The fragments of souls must com from humanoid sources that were trapped by a soul bind spell. Assembly requires a minimum of six different souls—one for each limb, the torso (including head), and the brain. In some cases, more souls may be necessary. Special unguents and bindings worth 5000 gp are also required. Note that creating a soul golem requires casting a spell with the evil descriptor.
